A day in Rockport

We love taking trips to Rockport. Yesterday was no exception. It was a beautiful day to be near the water and to enjoy the shops and a family day out. We picked up a few great prints for Ethan's room from a local artist and Audrey picked out a sparkly doll and named her Isabella. Audrey liked to make us a bit nervous by leaning over the rocky edge to look down at the waves hitting the rocks. We rounded out the perfect day by picking up some lobsters & a bottle of Pinot Grigio for dinner. YUM! Audrey was a bit traumatized wathcing the lobsters trying to scuttle acorss the counter adn then being put into a pot of boiling water. She was glad they were no longer moving by the time they were on her plate.

Blueberry muffins

The other day my friend Laura and her son Colin came to visit so I made blueberry muffins for a mid-morning treat. Little did I know that Ethan would love them! So this morning Audrey requested blueberry muffins for breakfast and since I love them so I was happy to oblige. Ethan was also very happy to enjoy them with dad.

We have had a beautiful weekend and spent lots of time playing with friends and outside. This morning at breakfast Ethan loved his cereal. I added blueberries, pears and a dash of cinnamon to his oatmeal, YUM! He opened wide for every bite and smiled big too. After a good wash down, there were blueberries everywhere, Ethan had a good nap and then posed for a few pics outside. He really had no idea I was taking pics, he was fascinated with the wind blowing the trees and the shadows dancing on the blanket from the sun. Audrey spent the day riding her bike at the park and meeting a new friend. They played and played at the park. Afterward Len & Audrey went to the town lake for a dip in the water.

Six months and growing!

Its hard to believe that Ethan is 6 months old today! We are all wondering where the time has gone! Ethan is sitting, rolling and screeching lots. He loves to laugh at and watch his big sister Audrey. She is wonderful at entertaining him while I make lunch. Ethan has his dr. appt. on Thursday, I'll update you with stats then but we're guessing 20 pounds easily! I also hope to sit down and add more pics very soon, we have taken tons over the past week, its been beautiful here.

July 4th

We have had such beautiful weather that I have been a little slack on getting some pics from the 4th up. The kids (especially Audrey) had such a wonderful time at the Carnival with her friends, and family too. Audrey was in the bike parade this year with kids from town to start the town's family day festivities. She & her friends had so much fun, they all received medals for their great participation! She then got to ride a pony and ride tons of rides all day long. The night ended with fireworks. Here are a few pics, more to follow.
